Fall 2018 Fundraiser
Every year we receive questions about why Region 1288 administers a fundraising event. The following information may help you understand why we do fundraising.
Region 1288 is, as well as all of AYSO, is a non-profit organization. That means none of our volunteer board member, coaches, referees are paid. These volunteers are all donating their time and expertise. There are registration costs that might seem obvious to you, such as the purchase of player uniforms, trophies/medals and providing pictures of each child and their team. But there are less obvious expenses. For example, field expenses (paint for the field, fuel for the carts, park lights), coach equipment (balls, ball bags, cones), referee equipment (uniforms, flags, whistles) to name a few. The region must also pay a fee for each player to the National AYSO organization (currently $17.50).

Fundraiser Details
- Every player participating in the Fall 2018 Fundraiser must sell (1) box of chocolates
- Important Dates:
- Regular Fundraiser - Funds Due Saturday 9/8/2018 9am-1pm Lynwood Park - CASH ONLY
- Fundraiser Incentives- Funds for additional boxes sold are due on Tuesday 9/18/2018 6:30 to 8:30 pm / Lynwood Park, funds must be turned in on this date to qualify for participation in the video truck event and to receive prizes. CASH ONLY!
