Matrix Program

As a volunteer organization that provides quality soccer program for all children regardless of experience or skill level, our goal is to encourage the growth of soccer and promote positive child development. In an effort to provide better ways of serving the children in our community, we’ve conducted experiments during the season and noticed that the disparity between player’s skill levels establishes a situation where the more skilled players become the“active” participants on the field while the less experienced players are “passive”. This situation limits the rate of development for both “active” and “passive” players both physically and psychologically. To address this issue, we have agreed to implement a parallel program that would help in the overall development of both the skilled and less experienced players.  This new program will allow the less skilled players to become active participants within the traditional program while the more skilled players will be provided an avenue to further challenge themselves in a more competitive setting.

To achieve our goals, it has been decided to engage the players with higher ability in one of the major competitive gaming circuits.  Currently, our two options are to participate in the Coast Soccer League (CSL) or the LA Futbol Circuit. Participating in these gaming circuits is more costly as there are additional insurance, tournament, uniform, and referee fees.
